First impressions: 7Artisans AF 50mm F1.8 Lite (Silver)

Thanks to 7Artisans, I recently had the chance to try their newly launched AF 50mm F1.8 Lite for APS-C X-mount, in the Silver edition, and it’s been a great addition to my kit for photowalks around the city.

Mounted on my Fujifilm X-T5, the lens looks the part. The silver finish pairs beautifully with the camera body, giving it a classic, understated look that fits right in on the street. But it’s not just about appearances, the lens is remarkably light, which makes a real difference on long walks when you’re carrying a camera for hours at a time.

Handling-wise, it feels solid without weighing you down, and it’s quickly become my go-to lens for spontaneous, on-the-move shooting. For the price point, the value here is hard to beat, you’re getting a genuinely capable, good-looking prime without the cost of a heavier, more premium alternative.

If you’re looking for a lightweight everyday lens for street photography or photowalks, the 7Artisans AF 50mm F1.8 Lite in Silver is well worth a look.

Shot on Fujifilm X-T5. Lens provided by 7Artisans.
