The Glass Obelisk, also known as "Kristall - vertikal accent i glas," is a striking monument located at Sergels Torg, one of Stockholm's busiest and most iconic public squares. Designed by artist Edvin Öhrström and unveiled in 1974, the obelisk stands 37.5 meters tall and is composed of thousands of glass prisms. It reflects and refracts light beautifully, especially when illuminated at night, making it a visual focal point of the area. The obelisk symbolizes modernity and innovation, complementing the square's contemporary urban architecture and adding a touch of shimmering elegance to the heart of the Swedish capital.
